FaceTite & BodyTite Q & A

What is Facetite & BodyTite

This revolutionary technology is based on radiofrequency energy. With this treatment, a probe is inserted under the skin to deliver radiofrequency energy with a second external electrode on the skin surface. The bipolar design allows for differential heating of the tissues so that a higher internal temperature can be reached to melt fat without causing damage to the skin surface. An ideal temperature is selected to induce tightening of the fibro septal network under the skin along with formation and reorganization of new collagen. This leads to continued skin tightening for several weeks to months after the procedure. Different treatments exist for each specific problem area.

Ideal treatment areas:

Accutite: upper and lower eyelids, eyebrows, nasolabial folds

Facetite and Necktite: neck contouring, definition of the jawline and treatment of jowling

Bodytite: knees and thighs, bra line, back of the arms and abdomen

Liposuction may be added to your treatment to decrease stubborn fat in your problem areas. This is superior to traditional liposuction because liposuction alone does not treat the skin, so many patients end up with reduction in fat but are left with sagging skin. Bodytite and Facetite melt the fat under the skin and reduce fat with liposuction while creating tightening of the skin with radiofrequency all at the same time.

Morpheus 8 is performed at the time of your procedure to provide even more dramatic results. Morpheus 8 is a fractional treatment that combines radiofrequency energy with microneedling. Small needles penetrate through the skin surface and emit radiofrequency at a customized depth and energy level to achieve your desired results. The addition of radiofrequency energy makes this treatment superior to microneedling alone. Morpheus 8 is typically done in a series of 3 treatments. Results include improvement in overall skin texture and tightening in the more superficial skin surface layers. Because this treatment stimulates your body's own collagen formation and reorganization, results are best seen in the 6-12 weeks after you complete your treatment series.

Who is the best candidate for this treatment?

Patients who are not ready for surgery or those who don't have severe enough laxity to need a surgical procedure are ideal candidates for this treatment. It produces dramatic and noticeable results without the scarring of a full facelift surgery.

Will I have stitches or incisions?

2-3 small needle-size punctures are created to allow for insertion of the probe. These are usually the size of the tip of a marker. Typically, no sutures are needed and there are no visible incisions.

What can you expect after Facetite/Bodytite with Morpheus8?

You can expect improved definition, reduction in fat and tightening of the skin. Your results will start to be evident within 2 weeks and continue to improve for 2-6 months after the treatment.

What is the downtime after this treatment?

Everyone heals differently. Most will be ready to return to work between 3-7 days while some may take a little longer to recover. It is best to plan for 1 week of recovery.

Do I need anesthesia for this procedure?

Most people feel most comfortable receiving some sedation for the procedure but it can be done under local anesthesia (numbing injections) with pain medicine or Pro-Nox (laughing gas) for comfort. You and your doctor can discuss the best plan for you to be comfortable.
