Microblading

Get Thicker, Fuller Brows With Personalized Results

What is Microblading?

Microblading, or eyebrow feathering, is a semi-permanent makeup technique used to make hair-like strokes in the brow area. Compared to solid tattooed eyebrows, it can create a more natural appearance. Eyebrow feathering was the term first used for this micro-pigmentation procedure. However, it’s now commonly called a defined hair-stroke technique. It’s been adapted to provide highly defined hairs to structure a brow that may have almost no hair and fill gaps between natural hairs, creating the illusion of texture and depth.

Why Sanctuary Cosmetic Center?

Although you may be able to find microblading at many day spas or medical practices, it’s essential to seek out the most qualified and experienced provider you can find. Microblading is a form of cosmetic tattooing, meaning the results last for years. At Sanctuary Cosmetic Center, we’re a top choice for microblading in McLean, Odrick’s Corner, Falls Church, and Arlington because of our dedication to personalized, natural-looking results.

“The staff here is amazing! I called today with so many questions and had the pleasure of speaking with Eva. She was so refreshing to interact with! She had so much patience, throughly answered my questions and even told me about some promotions to help with the cost. Dr Rostami is so sweet and really is an artist with the work that she does. If you’re hesitant about trying fillers, she’s the woman you need to talk to! Thank you all, I can’t wait to return!”

The Microblading Procedure

Microblading begins with a consultation with our team, during which you’ll discuss your goals and determine the ideal look for your brows. Then, the treatment area will be cleansed, and any oils will be removed. Your provider will use very fine, light strokes of our microblading device to deposit pigment into the skin to mimic the look of natural hair. Once your ideal look has been achieved, you’ll be given detailed aftercare instructions.

Microblading Results

For several days after treatment, it’s important to avoid touching your brows with water, skincare products, makeup, or oils. Additionally, avoid sweating or exertion, hot environments like hot tubs or saunas, sun exposure, and touching the area. This ensures that the pigment takes hold as much as possible, leading to long-term results. With proper aftercare and touch-up appointments, microblading can last for 2-3 years.
